Ramzi Haidar: Shots of Lebanese Civil War

April 13 is one of the days used to mark the start of the Lebanese Civil War in 1975, which ended in 1990 with lives lost, bodies injured permanently, families displaced and a country overturned. Haidar, a cunning photojournalist at the frontline of many of this regions  conflicts, captures moments of collectivity, mischief and resilience that strongly defined and defied these years.

These are striking, moving photographs and are also beautifully composed. I would love to see some of Haidar’s work in person. Do you know if Haidar has shows in the US or Western Europe often? Thanks so much for sharing!

  2. Dear friends. Wonderful work 🙂 When are we making a project together again? Love Lise
