The Vision, Kareem Al Qurity

The Vision

The walls of Al Masar gallery have been turned into a solemn streetscape by the first solo exhibit of young Egyptian artist Kareem Al Qurity (b.1982). Drawing inspiration from Cairo’s streets he captures various moods, often grim, carried on the city’s public transport. He reflects on issues of social polarization, particularly over religious and political ideologies, through his multi-faceted paintings.
